about chris

Prior to beginning his ministry Chris Culver earned his Bachelor of Science in civil engineering and Master of Civil Engineering degrees at Auburn University. Chris worked as an engineer for 7 years before surrendering to the call of full time vocational ministry and is currently working on his Master of Divinity degree at Beeson Divinity School in Birmingham, AL.
Chris served at Green Valley Baptist church as interim youth minister, Sunday school teacher, youth praise team director, and preached weekly to junior high school students. After assisting, learning from and traveling with itinerant minister Wade Morris for over a decade Chris now serves as an associate with Wade’s ministry. Chris has also contributed to Wade’s expository Bible study and devotial series The Journey. Chris utilizes in-depth study of Scripture, Church history, apologetics, and life experience to communicate the love of God and His saving purpose to students and adults. At the heart of his ministry is the desire to demonstrate the significance and authority of Scripture to a world in desperate need of its truth.
Chris met his wife, Wendi, at Centrifuge in Jackson, TN in 1993. They were married eight years later and live in Birmingham, AL with their two dogs Kitty and Bean. They are both fans of almost anything that keeps them outdoors: running, camping, hiking, and biking.
